REFEREES DENIE BTC PREMIERSHIP A GREAT START

BTC premiership was on the 7th of October denied by the referees to start the 2016/17 season on a good note as they did not officiate all the games. The reason being that the referees were paid late and expected to
deliver on time.

These became as embarrassment to Botswana premier league chief executive officer Thabo Ntshinogang who once said they have fully covered and cleared all things that may delay the start of the league,he included the referee payment as one of the factors that were first done and cleared. When the referees were asked about the payment, they stated that indeed the money has been paid but they were paid late.Being paid late made them not to prepare well including match allocation program.

The only games that were paid was of Orapa United against Miscellaneous which end as Orapa won by 4-0 in their favor.Police xi beaten by Gaborone United at Molepolole by 2 goals without scoring any goal and the game that also been played was Township Rollers against Nico United which ended 3-0 inn favor of Township Rollers

The BTC premiership is expected to continue these coming weekend and the match which were not played will be created a slot to cover up the league to go accordingly
