ARGENTINA STUMBLE AS AGUERO MISSES PENALTY

Manchester City hitman Sergio Aguero missed a penalty as Argentina lost 1-0 to Paraguay in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Cordoba.
The South American giants had made three changes following their 2-2 draw against Peru last week, but were still without influential captain Lionel Messi due to injury.
Paraguay began the game on the front foot and almost scored the opener in the seventh minute when Gustavo Gomez sent a diving header wide following a free-kick from Oscar Romero.
They managed to break the deadlock soon afterwards, though, in the 18th minute of the match, when Angel Romero put Derlis Gonzalez into space down the right, who then managed to beat Manchester United shot-stopper Sergio Romero at his near post.
Paris Saint-Germain's Angel Di Maria and United's Marcos Rojo had chances in the first half to score, but failed to hit the target.
In the second half, Paraguay allowed Argentina to have all the ball and ended up giving away a penalty, but Aguero failed to convert from the spot, with Justo Villar pulling off a fine save.
The Citizens striker tried to make amends for his mistake with two more attempts at scoring, but could not find the back of the next.
