The Botswana first division league awaits as the sports kit are not yet arrived to some teams though the league was receiving a 6 million pula sponsorship from Debswana diamond mining company.The league was suppose to have started on the 7th of October these year
the first division committee has given the ZarX clothing company to make football kits to all teams playing in the league ,which means the tender contains the twenty four teams with each receiving two kits which makes them 48.the company owner Mr koloi kganyane told the News Today crew that he tried his all best to deliver kits but his efforts could not meet the expectations.he promised the first division board that he will by Wednesday 13 will have finished to distribute the kits
when checking the first division north side chair of Francistown region football association (FRAFA) chairperson Mr Maokaneng Bontshetse about why they decided to start the league without the sponsors kit.he revealed that First division north often have tendency having pending games which result on late closing of the league due to long distances,so they decided to let the league start ahead of First division south
debswana first division south is expected to start these coming Saturday as Prisons xi will be receiving Gabane Santos at SSG grounds,Sharps up against the newly promoted kgalagadi side Skoon Boys at Sharps grounds,all games will be at 1530hrs .on Sunday Mogoditshane Fighters will be against Mochudi Rovers at Mogoditshane Fighters ground and kick off will be at 1530hrs also
